Hesketh Conclave No 309 |

| The regular meeting of Hesketh Conclave in February was held at Chorley Masonic Hall, it was dark and damp out there! It had rained for most of the day and the members needed cheering up following Blackburn Rovers departure from the FA cup the night before all down to penalties! | |
| So perhaps it was as well that they had an evening of entertainment to look forward to. The Divisional Eusebius, Bill Bruce had come along to see how we were getting along and to make sure we were up to date with the goings on in Division. |

| Following the opening and the usual disposal of administrative business the ‘main event’ was upon us. | |
| Ill. Kt Ray Pye had come along to educate us with a subject ‘Popes Patriarchs and Pilgrims’ and to say what we heard was not what we were expecting, somehow doesn’t quite cover it! Ray held us in suspense, wondering what was coming next. Truly an insight into how others celebrate the Christian Religion, with some very not so coincidental similarities to some of our Christian Masonic Orders. |

All done, with perhaps a part two on the horizon, we finished of the meeting and retired to a two course festive board served by the catering staff at Chorley just taking a couple of minutes out to take photographs to go with this account of our evening. |

| We then tipped out into the cool, damp night air and made our way home to see how Liverpool were getting on, a much better outcome, (for me anyway). | |
